What do we do?
Jan 2022 This club was suspended during COVID and Bubbles and is under going structural changes.
During covid teams of children in their bubbles took on the task of organising different events ;
Mental health day, charity collections, Christmas “Bubble” fair.
The children from Y1-6 at Whitchurch Primary School elect 2 school council members each year from each Lower School and Upper School class. The school council members meet every couple of weeks to talk about the tasks they are working on. They take turns to keep minutes of the meetings, talk to their fellow classmates and try to do things that will make the school better in the future.
Most years they tackle tasks like
- Fundraising for Children In Need (last year we raised £446!)
- Meeting with the cook to discuss changes to the school menu
- Identifying areas of the school that could be improved
