The King family’s priceless chess set and family heirloom, passed down through hundreds of generations of the family, has been stolen! The local detectives are too busy with other thefts and crimes to solve this one, so they have asked YOU to solve it for them. From your starting point you will travel around Whitchurch and Pangbourne, solving clues along the way, to find out where the chess set is and who the criminal mastermind behind the plot is.

I have made a trail that will take you around Pangbourne and Whitchurch to do over the Summer Holidays! I made it to fundraise for the Brain Tumour Charity, which fights the disease that my aunt recently passed away of, and voluntary donations would be really welcomed – the link to a JustGiving page is below.
It is a chess themed Treasure Trail that I hope you enjoy – instructions for submitting your answers if you have done it are at the back of the Trail. As explained in the Trail, you will need to come back to this page to download the PDF to enter your answer in the “Answers for Trail” document attached. You can print the Trail out if you would like to, which might make it easier to carry around and write on!
